Manual Provisioning - Polycom

** ! We generally recommend that all handsets be factory reset prior to provisioning, as previous settings may interfere with handset operation. !**

Reset the Handset to Factory Defaults

  1. In a web browser on a computer on the same network as the phone, browse to the phone's IP address.
  2. Log in as admin and enter the password 456 or 7627
  3. Navigate to Utilities > Phone Backup & Restore
  4. Underneath the "Global Settings" option, click "Restore phone to factory settings"->Restore
  5. The phone should reboot back into factory settings


Configure Provisioning Via the Website

  1. In a web browser on a computer on the same network as the phone, browse to the phone's IP address.
  2. Log in as admin and enter the password 456 or 7627
  3. Navigate to Settings > Provisioning Server.
  4. From the Server Type drop-down, select HTTPS.
  5. In the Server Address field, enter the Option9 Polycom Provisioning Server address: https://ndp1-cos.option9.net/cfg/
  6. Hit Save, and the handset should reboot and auto-provision.

Configure Provisioning Via the Handset Menu Directly

  • Press the Menu button, navigate to Settings then Advanced
  • Type in the password, default is "456" or "7627"
  • Navigate to Admin Settings>Network Configuration>Server menu
  • Change "Server Type" to HTTP
  • Enter the "Server Address" as http://ndp1-cos.option9.net/cfg/
  • Exit and Save, the phone should reboot
