Data102's Datavault CDP Backups service does require that ports be opened to your client so that backups can be initiated.

Ports to be opened on all clients (source/destination IPs listed above). Note that the default is TCP/1167, but this can be changed per-agent to accommodate your firewall configuration, including multiple hosts behind a single firewall. Please notify us if this is your setup so we can make sure the agents are configured accordingly!
