Change your trunk's static IP

If you have a SIP Trunk that does not register, then we communicate and authenticate with your device based solely on the provided and configured IP address. You can change this IP address through the Data102 SIP portal.

This article does not apply to customer's using hosted handset. Setting a static IP address on an extension that does not have a dedicated IP will result in broken service!!


Changing your SIP Trunk's IP Address

1. Log into the Data102 SIP portal.

2. Select the extension that you wish to manage.

3. On the extension management screen, click on "Provisioning and SIP"

4. At the bottom, fill in the IP address in the "Phone does not register, is located on IP:" box, and select "Does not have to authenticate." This disables registration, and sends/receives calls from the selected IP.



5. Click on "OK" to save the IP configuration.

6. The Extension Overview page should reflect the new IP.
